Mark E. Russell, Esquire, started his farrier career in the late 1980’s and dedicated himself full time to the field in 1990.  Over the last 17 years he is one of only 5 Americans to obtain a Four Year Degree in Farrier Science from the Worshipful Company of Farriers in Herefordshire England.  Mark is also one of 1300 Certified Journeyman in the American Farriers Association, one of 106 Registered Journeyman Farriers in the history of the Guild of Professional Farriers, and spent 12 years as a Lead Instructor a the Colorado School of Trades Farrier Science School which has one of the most extensive programs for farriers in the United States.  For the last 10 years Mark has specialized in the shoeing of Three Day Eventing horses, working on exotic animals at zoos, and working with veterinarians on special equine cases from Colorado State University, Littleton Large Animal Clinic, Kansas State University, Cornell University and Ohio State University.  Today Mark continues to specialize in working with difficult cases and is sought out by many professionals across the nation.  Arizona Equine Rescue Organization, Inc. is honored to have Mark as a farrier resource and to offer his knowledge to horse owners in the Phoenix area.
